Izakaya @ Kuranosho

Q: Tell us about the unique features of today’s Izakaya in Japan.

Izakaya @ Kuranosho

We had a great dining choice at Kuranosho, an Izakaya restaurant. The place was very lively with chatter as well as a popular spot for friends or co-workers to wind down after work. We tried a variety of Japanese dishes such as grilled meat and seafood, fried dishes as well as hot pot dishes. We were both adventurous eaters and we had a great chance to sample this bizarre Japanese delicacy. Yes, this slippery and soft white Shirako is known as Cod Fish Sperm Sac. It can be eaten both raw and cooked, depending on individual preferences. It was nevertheless an incredible authentic Japanese dish and experience that you should try at least once when you are in Japan.
