Q: What is your highly recommended restaurant for a top notch sushi experience that you will not find anywhere else?
Sushi @ Sendai Ekimae Eden
Sendai is an area blessed with an abundance of high quality seafood from various exceptional fishing ports throughout the nearby region. This quaint, cozy little restaurant is operated by the locals in a place you would never expect. We had a chance to watch the chef’s remarkable techniques that drew out the best flavors from every ingredient. Every sushi was prepared in three easy steps with careful attention to the correct balance between the rice and the Sashimi. I was extremely attracted to the Chirashi Don that was topped with colorful cubes of fresh Sashimi and vegetables in a bowl, further topped with Ikura. It was one of the most visually stunning dishes I have ever tasted, totally drool-worthy to have in Sendai! Sushi in Japan is certainly fresher and way cheaper compared to those in Malaysia.
