Hakone sightseeing course for Muslim tourists

Posted on May 19, 2016

Hakone, which can be easily reached from Tokyo and has a wealth of sights to see, is an excellent location to enjoy beautiful views of Mount Fuji. The Odakyu Electric Railway, in cooperation with local government and academia, has created a model sightseeing course in Hakone aimed at Muslim tourists.
To create this tour route, they planned and conducted an actual trial of the tour route with a Muslim couple from Indonesia. Their guide incorporates information about prayers at hot spring facilities and menus at restaurants that don’t contain pork. All of this and more information is available on their global site.
